What awaits
The Academy 2026 will bring together volunteers and staff from across Europe and beyond for an intensive programme of more than 25 sessions, organised into three learning paths:
Unity: Put safeguarding into practice beyond the policy, strengthen collaboration across generations, explore peace education through the European Region’s methodology, and find tools to foster youth leadership and meaningful youth participation.
Resilience: Reimagine membership and volunteer journeys, diversify funding streams, plan for resilient governance, embed sustainability and climate action, and protect the wellbeing of your volunteers and the spark that drives them.
Innovation: Discover the implications of AI in communication, discover how to build educational frameworks and innovate the recognition of skills gained in Scouting and Guiding, and learn storytelling that inspires action.
Participants can choose between several sessions and discover the different paths that will all lead to the exchange of ideas and best practices across borders and Movements.

How to register
It’s as easy as clicking one button!
Who should attend The Academy?
The event is open to participants who are over 18 years old and volunteer at the national, regional, or district level in a Europe Region WAGGGS Member Organisation or a National Scout Organisation/Association of the European Scout Region. Participants must commit to attending the full event and actively participating in all sessions.
Registration is open until 30 September 2026, and you can register online. Make sure you have already shared with your International Commissioner that you have applied to be a participant. The venue has limited space, so we can accept a maximum of 150 participants. In the event of overbooking, priority will be given to ensure the broadest diversity possible. A confirmation will be sent to all participants after the deadline.
